Over a decade ago, I left the advertising industry to follow an opportunity to work within the insurance industry. There are many challenges that serve to make every day interesting and different, but the focus is still on the customer and finding ways to help with all the risks associated with doing business. In my spare time, I spend a lot of the summer on the water, boating with my wife, three kids (adults now) and friends, and we also enjoy touring on our motorcycle. We spend winters snowmobiling, entertaining and enjoying what this part of the country has to offer.

ELISA JOHNSTON
Elisa has returned to Brockville where she was born and raised. She enjoys reading, yoga, travelling, and various cultural events. She has more recently joined the Brockville Operatic Society and Brockville Theatre Guild where she made her acting debut. Her family and friends are close to her heart and she enjoys spending free time with them, especially her new nephew.

PAMELA KIRKPATRICK, RIBO, CAIB, BA
Pam has been a Registered Insurance Broker since December 1994.
She specializes in commercial insurance. Pam belonged to BNI for several years and held an executive position on the Leeds Grenville Insurance Brokers Association for 6 years. She has been the treasurer of the Parent Council at Joyceville Public School for the past 6 years and also takes on the responsibility of change room supervisor for her daughter’s hockey team. Pam started playing hockey 3 years ago and she loves it! She also enjoys downhill skiing and summers at their family cottage on Sand Lake.

KRISTI PLASCHKA, RIBO
Kristi joined the JB Kelly Waterway Insurance team in 2013 and has been a Registered Insurance Broker since 2014. She specializes in personal auto and recreational vehicle insurance.
Being born and raised in the Brockville area has given Kristi an appreciation for close knit communities and beautiful landscapes. Kristi enjoys spending time with family and friends. The school year is a hectic time of competitive basketball and sports activities with her kids. Summers are more relaxed, yet include many poolside activities.

I was born and raised in Brockville and feel fortunate that I was able to raise my family in this area. My entire family believes in the importance of volunteerism, including the annual Terry Fox Run, and I currently sit on the board of the United Way of Leeds and Grenville. In recent years I have tried to follow a more healthy lifestyle and that has allowed me to meet some amazing people and to go places I never dreamt possible.

JENNIE HOPE, RIBO
Jennie joined JB Kelly Waterway Insurance in 2019 as a Registered Insurance Broker and specializes in Farm and Agribusiness Insurance.
Jennie’s career in insurance started in 2012 as a direct sales agent and soon after as a farm and agribusiness underwriter. Jennie stays active in the local farming community, is a member of the Toledo Legion - Branch 475, and helps run their custom farming business with her husband. She loves “glamping” with her family, training western performance horses and teaching lessons from their hobby farm in Frankville.
MARIE TOBIN
Marie joined the JB Kelly Waterway Insurance team as a broker in 2021.
After having worked for over 20 years in the hospitality industry, Marie decided that she was ready for a new challenge and joined the world of insurance. She loves cooking, baking, spending time with her family and her dogs. Marie looks forward to meeting and helping more members of our wonderful community.
